Geothermal

There are more than 36,000 geothermal systems installed in buildings in Canada today and that number is growing daily. Those Canadian installations are equivalent to:

• Taking 55,000 cars off the road permanently
• Planting 23 million trees
• Reducing our fossil fuel consumption by 1.2 million barrels of oil per year

Geothermal technology uses the natural energy from the earth to heat and cool a building and to provide hot water for domestic use.

Ameresco finances, designs, builds, owns and operates geothermal systems for commercial, institutional, industrial and multi-residential buildings. As a full service renewable energy contractor, we optimize the building’s overall energy performance and costs by analyzing the energy needs of the building and engineering the most efficient geothermal or hybrid renewable energy system to provide 100% of the heating, cooling and domestic hot water.
